many more landscapes
Many More Landscapes is a sonic and visual transformation of Movement I: Many Landscapes from Triptych for Percussion Quartet. MAX/MSP/JITTER patches were coded in order to process both audio (the original live recording) and video signals (photographs of the four graphic scores).
Each of the four graphic scores (2D objects) has been grafted onto 3D spheres which float around an empty space. The location of each sphere on an xyz axis is used to control both panning (left/right) and the amount of wet/dry reverb on each audio signal (simulating depth of space). The amplitude of each audio signal controls the amount of "jiggle" that each sphere experiences, as well as the velocity at which each travels around the space.
